Melt in Your Mouth BBQ Sandwich
Pucker up, BBQ lovers! This is one of those recipes that'll make your taste buds tango.

Smoker
Slow-cooker

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3lb beef roast
  • 2Tbsp chili powder
  • 3tsp salt
  • 1Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1tsp smoked paprika
  • 1Tbsp red pepper
  • 1Tbsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/4-1/2 cup brown sugar


DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium bowl combine all ingredients except the roast.
  2. Place the roast in the slow-cooker, Pour the sauce evenly over the top.
  3. Cook on high for 3 hours and then reduce too low for 4 more hours.
  4. Remove the meat and shred.


Smoker:

  1. Season beef with salt, pepper, and garlic. Place in smoker for 3 hours.
  2. In a medium bowl mix the remaining ingredients together.
  3. Pour juice off meat and mix into the ingredients in the bowl. Skim off excess fat from beef.
  4. Pour juice over beef and place in oven, cooking at 300 degrees, for 6-8 hours, or until tender.
  5. Remove the roast, and shred.

Enjoy!!

NOTES: Wanting to make it ahead? The finished beef freezes well. Make the beef and let it cool completely before transferring to a freezer safe container to freeze. To serve, let it thaw in the refrigerator the reheat it on the stove.
